- The service will initially roll out in the U.S. before expanding to additional markets.
Sending money across the world is becoming as easy as sending a message. Samsung Wallet is integrating Sui to let Galaxy users in the U.S. hold and send USDC directly through Samsung Wallet.
Starting in the U.S. on eligible Galaxy devices, the offering will later expand to markets around the world. The integration offers access to USDC on Sui within Samsung’s widely used mobile wallet alongside other everyday essentials like payment cards, IDs, tickets, keys and more.
Remittances now connect more than 1.3 billion people worldwide, and digital apps are already the preferred way to send and receive that money in every country included in Visa's 20-market remittance survey. Stablecoins are starting to enter the picture too, with 41% of U.S. remittance users surveyed by Visa saying they were likely to use stablecoins for international money transfers. USDC on Sui in Samsung Wallet will help make this activity significantly cheaper and faster.
“Stablecoins have proven that dollars can move globally in seconds, but the next step is making that experience available where people already are,” said Adeniyi Abiodun, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Mysten Labs, the original contributor to Sui. “Samsung puts USDC on Sui in the hands of Galaxy users in the U.S., while Sui offers the network underneath to make this critical economic activity seamless, fast, and available 24/7”
“Samsung Wallet is about making useful experiences feel simple and intuitive,” said Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Stablecoins have the potential to make moving money around the world faster and easier, and we want Galaxy users to be able to take advantage of that without having to navigate the complexity of traditional crypto tools. Working with Sui helps us bring that experience directly into Samsung Wallet.”
Why Sui
Sui has been building toward this kind of experience for years.
Native USDC went live on Sui in 2024, followed by Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol integration. Since August 2025, Sui has processed more than $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume. The network has also continued adding payment infrastructure and stablecoin integrations across markets spanning Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America.
Then, Sui made sending stablecoins virtually free. Gasless stablecoin transfers went live on Mainnet in May 2026. USDC is among the supported assets, meaning a user can send USDC on Sui without paying a network fee and without first buying or holding SUI to make the transaction work. The transfer costs $0.00 at the network level.
And now, Samsung Wallet will give USDC on Sui a front door with U.S. Galaxy users.
Why Now
Stablecoins are one of the fastest-growing sectors in global finance, with stablecoin transaction volume exceeding $83 trillion in the last 12 months. Remittances represent an area for that growth to compound, given one-sixth of the world already engages in the activity.
With Samsung Wallet and Sui, sending USDC across a border becomes as simple as sending a message: open the wallet, choose a recipient, and send.
FAQs
What is the Samsung Wallet and Sui partnership?
- Samsung Wallet is integrating Sui, allowing Galaxy users in the U.S. to hold USDC in Samsung Wallet and send it over the Sui network. USDC is the only supported asset at launch, and the SUI token is not supported in Samsung Wallet. The service will initially roll out in the U.S. before expanding to additional markets.
Why USDC on Sui?
- Sui is built to move money quickly and at extremely low cost. With gasless stablecoin transfers, users can send USDC without paying a network fee or holding SUI just to complete the transaction.
Do users need SUI to send USDC?
- No. Samsung Wallet supports USDC only at launch, and the SUI token is not supported. Sui’s gasless transaction infrastructure allows supported applications to offer USDC transfers without requiring the sender to hold SUI for gas, removing one of the biggest points of friction in blockchain transfers.
Why are Samsung and Sui focused on remittances?
- Remittances are already a massive global market, with over 1.3 billion people sending or receiving remittance in the last year. Stablecoins can make those transfers faster and easier, while Samsung Wallet gives that infrastructure a familiar consumer experience on Galaxy devices.
Where will the service be available?
- The initial rollout will begin in the U.S. before expanding to additional markets.
