12 Teams Build on Sui Through Hydropower Accelerator

Over eight weeks, the inaugural Sui Hydropower Accelerator cohort kept grinding away on their projects, receiving help in areas from coding to capital. The cohort's projects ran the gamut from DeFi to DePIN to real world assets.

Sui Foundation's Hydropower accelerator program helps teams building on Sui get up and running with new projects. The program focuses on technology, product, marketing, and fundraising, culminating in the cohort’s demo day where they show their work to venture capitalists for friendly feedback.

From hundreds of applications, 12 teams had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on Sui, meet other builders, receive mentorship, learn from experts in Web3, and receive hands-on support from the Sui Foundation.

Here are the teams that participated in the inaugural Hydropower cohort and their projects:

1. 7k - a smart trading ecosystem that emerged as Sui's second-largest aggregator within five months of launch. Developed by an experienced team in DeFi, 7K aims to provide a comprehensive trading ecosystem for Sui users, equipped with a range of smart features.
2. AdToken - a peer to peer advertisement network. AdToken enables any business to start onchain advertising campaigns, paying only for the likes, shares, clicks, impressions, or sales generated on their advertisement.
3. CryptoMate - the OS for stablecoin-based fintech offering. Low code, programmable, AI-enabled, and omnichannel. CryptoMate helps companies and protocols access Tradfi hedged by Bitcoin treasuries.
4. Gifted - a platform for digital gifting. Gifted makes it easy to send and receive digital art, with a beautiful and interactive experience.
5. InsiDeX - the definitive platform for analyzing and getting insights into all DeFi activities on Sui, empowering an informed and seamless trading experience.
6. Lotus Finance - a decentralized market maker and high-frequency trading infrastructure for Sui. Quantitative investment opportunities, previously privileged by institutional investors, are now democratized, and the yield is shared with the community.
7. Nativerse - a new primitive on Sui, designed to unlock the full potential of non-custodial liquid staking and usher Bitcoin into an infinite LST future. Nativerse enables anyone to launch their own LST and empowers Bitcoin stakers to access a unified liquidity layer.
8. Nemo Protocol - the native yield trading platform on Sui. Nemo offers fixed yield and leveraged yield.
9. Pomerene - DePIN for international trade. The network is an open data and coordination standard to secure the $13 trillion industry.
10. Printr - the first chain-abstracted tokenization and fundraising platform that allows users to launch, discover, and trade tokens permissionlessly on any blockchain, unifying fragmented liquidity and communities.
11. Protocol Media Labs - reimagines journalism to transform the media landscape by providing a novel news experience for consumers, and a peerless set of tools to help journalists stay at the leading edge of a story. Supported by an ironclad and diversified revenue model, Protocol ensures that corporate or political interests never have their finger on the scales of truth.
12. The twelfth team is in stealth mode and chose not to release its name and mission publicly.
