Libre Capital, a leading financial instruments tokenization and issuance infrastructure developer, will provide accredited investors on Sui with onchain access to a diverse range of attractive investment funds, including the tokenized Laser Carry Fund (LCF), a market-neutral digital asset strategy from Nomura’s Laser Digital. Sui users who are institutional or accredited investors gain investment opportunities across a number of notable onchain funds, including leading hedge funds, private credit funds, and money market funds.

By leveraging Libre's capabilities and Sui’s robust ecosystem, the company will expand investment horizons for institutional and accredited investors seeking to diversify their portfolios within the digital asset landscape. "The launch of the Libre Gateway on Sui is a huge step forward to enable access to wealth and treasury management tools for users on Sui, and for Libre to take advantage of Move-based infrastructure to enable value added services like collateralised lending for onchain users,” said Dr. Avtar Sehra, CEO and founder of Libre.

LCF is a high-yield, market neutral strategy that takes advantage of funding rates and yield opportunities in the digital asset market. Through Laser Digital’s heritage, the LCF capitalises on capital markets and risk management expertise in traditional and digital markets. The LCF launch also reflects efforts to bring expertise from traditional financial institutions to digital asset markets by Libre, which recently announced a partnership with First Abu Dhabi Bank to revolutionize onchain NAV financing. In addition to LCF, Libre has tokenised funds from leading managers such as Blackrock, Brevan Howard, and Hamilton Lane.

Libre operates backbone infrastructure that allows investors to access tokenized versions of real world assets such as money market funds, private credit and hedge funds, and other alternative asset products on public blockchains. Libre does this through onchain Libre Gateway DeFi apps deployed on each public chain. This enables institutional and accredited investors to directly access top-tier funds on Sui in a regulatory-compliant manner.

“Leveraging Sui’s Move-based infrastructure to provide institutional and accredited investors with secure and scalable access to real-world assets is a powerful use case for the technology,” said Christian Thompson, Sui Foundation’s Managing Director. “Collaborating with Libre is another critical stepping stone for Sui to bridge the gap between traditional finance and crypto.”
