Daya has integrated Sui as settlement infrastructure, giving African businesses gasless stablecoin transfers for cross-border payments and treasury management.

Main Takeaways

  • Sui is now live as settlement infrastructure for Daya, the financial engine for African businesses, individuals, and developers, powering gasless stablecoin transfers and treasury rebalancing for cross-border payments.
  • Sui now settles transfers across Daya Business, Daya Pro, and Daya APIs, the platforms Daya uses for payments, liquidity, remittances, and developer access.
  • Daya is live in Nigeria, with plans to expand into South Africa, Ghana, and Kenya, extending Sui's footprint across additional African markets as it activates new local-currency rails.

Daya, the financial engine for African businesses, individuals, and developers, has integrated Sui as settlement infrastructure across its product suite. The integration enables gasless stablecoin transfers and treasury rebalancing for cross-border payments, and it is live today across Daya Business, Daya Pro, and Daya APIs.

Live in Nigeria, where it holds the relevant licenses, Daya plans to expand into South Africa, Ghana, and Kenya. Daya sends onchain transfers through Sui's gasless stablecoin network, giving African SMEs virtually free cross-border payments and more room to reinvest in their businesses.

Now a staple of the rising fintech scene in Nigeria, Daya offers three core products: Daya Business, Daya's platform for global payments, USD access, treasury, approvals, and reconciliation; Daya Pro, its liquidity and foreign exchange engine; and Daya APIs, which let fintechs, platforms, and enterprises build on the same infrastructure. Daya's team, which will be present at Sui’s annual flagship Basecamp event, includes leaders with deep experience across African markets and global stablecoin infrastructure, with a track record of building payments infrastructure in the region.

“Gasless stablecoin transfers remove one of the biggest barriers in blockchain payments, and Daya is putting that infrastructure to work for real businesses,” said Adeniyi Abiodun, Co-Founder and CPO of Mysten Labs, the original contributor to Sui. “Daya is building the financial engine African businesses need, and Sui is proud to help power it. Together, we can deliver financial products that simply feel fast, reliable, and global.”

“We’re excited to partner with Sui because it means real businesses across Africa can move stablecoins without paying a cent in fees,” said Tomiwa "Aleph" Lasebikan, Co-founder & CEO of Daya. “Businesses can send stablecoins without needing to acquire, hold, or even understand a native network token. That's the kind of user experience required to bring stablecoin-powered payments to millions of African businesses.”
