Next week’s Builder House in Ho Chi Minh City, running from March 18 to 19, promises to be an incredible event for anyone interested in Sui. It will feature keynote speeches from Sui principles, presentations about the latest tools, DeFi, gaming, and NFTs, and networking events for face-to-face conversations.

This event comes hot on the heels of our Denver Builder House, which was a smashing success. That event offered great learning and social opportunities.

Keynotes and Alpha
Mysten Labs’ Chief Product Officer Adeniyi Abodiun will give up-to-date information during his keynote on the much anticipated road to Mainnet. He will talk about what we learned during the recent Testnets, and what to expect in the immediate future. In a separate keynote, Brian Hennessey-Hsieh, the Sui Foundation’s Head of Developer Relations, will talk about open source in web3 and what that means to Builders. These talks, coming from key members of the Sui team, will give attendees insight unavailable anywhere else.
Networking
We design Builder Houses to highlight the Sui community. In Vietnam, participants should find plenty of time to chat and make connections during breaks. Even better, we will host an opening night cocktail reception at Chill Skybar, a great opportunity to mingle. Participants can find new partners, investors, or good friends during the event. Please note that attendees will need to register and be approved to attend the cocktail reception. After registering for the Builder House, participants will receive a link through email to register for the reception.
Compete
As at our Denver Builder House, Builders will be able to participate in a capture the flag-style competition for prize money and other awards. This competition will consist of increasingly difficult challenges. Not only will the first participants who solve the challenges receive prizes, they will also demonstrate the depth of their Sui knowledge and get special shoutouts on our channels.
Workshops and Builder Talks
The Sui and open source communities exemplify how builders help builders. At presentations during the Vietnam Builder House, builders will share their knowledge, techniques, and tools. For example, Dan Levitt of Move Studio will give a workshop on the Move Studio Web IDE. MoveBit’s Yi Lu will show how Move Analyzer helps builders write error-free code. These presentations offer crucial hands-on learning experiences from the most experienced builders in the community.
Office Hours with Sui Foundation
Along with the presentations, we will be holding office hours in a separate room. Have a chat with our staff engineers on Saturday, March 18, at 1:30 or on Sunday, March 19, at 2:30 to ask specific questions about Move and Sui. The feedback loop between the community and our on-staff technical experts helps create better apps on Sui. They’ll do their best to help you along on your Sui journey.
